The golf course looks resplendent, bathed in the Autumn sunshine, with bronzed leaves and red berries. This, against a backdrop of a blue sky and deep green grass. A sight to behold indeed.

I have touched on trees, birds, animals and plants in previous blogs, that call Westridge their home. However, there are other residents that are far more important to the eco system. However, i am guessing that most golfers walk straight past most of them. In their own way, they are an attractive addition to the natural world, here on the course, as well as doing a vital job.

I am talking about the algae, lichens, mosses & fungi.

Therefore, next time you play a shot offline, don’t beat yourself up over a not quite perfect shot, take advantage of looking at natures wonderful bio diversity we have here at Westridge Golf Centre.
